headspace

Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Organisation for Australia. They look after people with mental health conditions between the ages of 12-25. They also help if someone is having a tough time in their life. They are very helpful.

Headspace helps with:
General health problems

mental health
Education and employment
Alcohol and drug addictions
it also provides consulting for those who really need it. Without is, there would be a lot more problems in Australia with the youth. They would be in chaos, thinking that no one would ever be there for them at all. Sometimes, humans just need a comforting hug to tell them that everything will be alright in the end.Headspace deal with a lot of issues. Anything from money issues and lack of employment to identity issues and relationship issues. They are extremely important to the youth of Australia and many of the youth would be in far worse situations without this very important company.

Headspace is really important because it deals with the youth of Australia. This is important because young people need a lot of help. The years between 12 and 25 are the hardest because in this time, you are deciding who you are and who you want to be. One stupid mistake and your dreams are gone forever. Headspace is here to help you through the tough times in early life.
There are around 55 Headspace centres around Australia. Warragul is very lucky to have one on Queen Street near the Bowling Alley. So if someone is knocking over a few pins one night and their having any problems, they can skip over to Headspace and get it all sorted! Yay!

Headspace was created in 2006 and has had a huge impact on many lives since. It’s funded by the Commonwealth Government of Australia and their main goal is maintain good mental and physical health for all Australians because if the problem is gone before the person gets to old, the problem will decrease or even cease to exist.
But why is Headspace so important? One of the biggest issues facing the young population of Australia today is mental health. Mental health is an extremely important and bi part of life. Our mental state is a lot more important than our physical state. If you think you’re fat but you’re actually skinny and you start to starve yourself, that’s very bad. But if you get this problem sorted out and you tell yourself that you are in fact skinny, this problem will be sorted out and you and your body will be safe and healthy. Headspace helps you to believe that you are healthy and strong and that you can get over these problems one step at a time.

Anyone can contact Headspace at http://www.headspace.org.au/ or they can visit one of the 55 centres around Australia or they can even call 03 9027 0100 which is the number of the Melbourne centre.
